Granite

    • Granite is a good investment. These countertops will be the last ones you'll ever need and a proven return on investment

    • Granite is durable and resistant to heat, so it is ideal for the kitchen

    • Granite is hard, making it resistant to chipping, scratching and cracking

    • Granite coloration does not fade

    • Granite maintenance is easy. When treated and sealed properly, granite is highly resistant to stains, scratches and bacteria growth

    • Granite Gallery recommends using GranQuarts 3-In-1 Spray Cleaner or a clear, mild dish washing detergent mixed with warm water when you are cleaning stone surfaces. Use a clean rag mop on floors and a soft cloth on other surfaces

    • Do not use products that contain lemon, vinegar or other acids on marble or other calcareous stones

    • Do not use scouring powders or creams; these products contain abrasives that may scratch the stone.

Quartz

  • Quartz is one of the hardest minerals on Earth. Because of its strength and abundance, quartz is a popular and reliable choice for countertops. Quartz countertops are sometimes referred to as “engineered” or “man-made”. Quartz is made by a quartz manufacturer. Quartz has become very common in more modern spaces.

    • Use a clean cloth or sponge with mild soap and warm water for routine, daily cleaning. Be sure to rinse thoroughly, as soap residue can affect its appearance

    • For stubborn spots, use a soft cloth, sponge or a non-scratch scrub pad, and a mild, neutral PH, non-abrasive cleanser along with plenty of water to clean the surface

    • For dried residue, a flat object such as a plastic putty knife can be used to gently scrape off the foreign material

    • Honed surfaces can show fingerprints and other signs of daily living more readily than polished surfaces and will require more frequent maintenance

    • Although quartz is extremely scratch-resistant, it is not scratch-proof. You should never cut or chop directly on your countertop. Always use a cutting board

    • Always use a hot pad or trivet when setting down hot objects, such as hot pans or plates. Care should also be taken when using electric household appliances

    • Take care to avoid spilling harsh chemicals, such as drain cleaners, paint strippers, oven cleaners, bleach, etc.

Marble

    • It's perfect for both modern and traditional looks. In addition to countertops, common uses include walls, flooring and stair treads.

    • Classic. Traditional. Elegant

    • Marble is timeless and has been used for centuries. It never goes out of style

    • Marble can be polished into a high gloss finish

    • Although there can be color variations, the majority of marble comes in natural shades of black and white giving it a classic, elegant look

    • We recommend using an impregnating sealer upon installation and every year thereafter to prevent staining
